Iris Elm Jewelry Newest Additions: July 23- 29

Hello everyone! It has been a beautiful week here in Minnesota, and when not outdoors enjoying the sunny weather and going on walks around the local parks and lakes, I have been beading and have added three pairs of earrings to the website:

Beautiful natural sky blue angelite gems are the featured stone for these elegant Edwardian style dangle earrings. I hand beaded the beadcaps with tiny glass seed beads and placed sparkling round clear quartz crystal stones on either end.

Angelite is also known as anhydrite. Anhydrite is a mineral that occurs in extensive layered deposits in sedimentary basins where large volumes of sea water have been evaporated. The powdery light blue stone is said to promote feelings of peace and tranquility.

The mandala is one of my favorite designs to make and to wear. With these earth-toned earrings I used tiny delicate glass beads so they are very lightweight and perfect for everyday. The beadwoven earrings dangle from handcrafted sterling silver earwires.

These unique boho amethyst earrings are a re-addition to the shop. Handwoven with natural purple amethyst gems, the birthstone of February, that fan out across the bottom of glass seed beaded beadwork.

This past week I went with vintage inspirations for the newest additions to the shop:

For these elaborately beaded Victorian style earrings, I hand wove small glass seed beads into a beaded bead and covered the outside with faceted lavender amethyst gems. It is a time consuming process but well worth the outcome.

Elegant yet simple, these Edwardian era inspired earrings are small and lightweight. They are beaded with black fire-polished Czech glass beads and tiny seed beads and dangle from handcrafted sterling silver ear wires.

Iris Elm Jewelry Newest Additions: July 9 - 15

Hello! We are already halfway through July (slow down summer!) and I have added a couple new items to the website this week:

Inspired by jewelry from the 1920's, I made these long amethyst dangle earrings with a modern flapper girl in mind. The dark purple gems have a lot of swing and are a perfect accessory for a fun night out.

As shown in progress in the July 6 post, my hearts & arrows bracelet is complete! This is one of my favorite designs that I've made lately, a bohemian cuff bracelet that can go with most outfits and be worn for any occasion.
